June Whitfield Presents Reece Edwards 1st prize in our 'Merton Volunteers in Action' Photography Competition

At an intimate awards ceremony at Centre Court on 14 January, actress June Whitfield presented Reece Edwards, 18, a student at Cricket Green School, 1st prize in our photography competition, Merton Volunteers in Action, for his picture of Charlotte volunteering at the Merton Mencap Café. He won a Sony NEX-C3KB digital camera kindly sponsored by Sony Centre, Centre Court, Wimbledon. We hold training and support events for volunteers and organisations
We help organisations fill volunteering vacancies, provide good practice support and our Information Bank provides online guidance to organisations recruiting and involving volunteers in their work
We offer ongoing support to volunteers who are enduring or recovering from mental distress or illness, or who have physical, sensory or learning disabilities
We manage the Home Visits Library Service which delivers books and audio tapes to elderly Merton residents who are housebound or in care homes
We run a vibrant Youth Action Programme for volunteers between 16-25
