Congratulations Nikki, VCM’s 10,000th Volunteer

We are proud to celebrate the award to our 10,000th volunteer.

Nikki registered with VCM recently, having been referred by The Merton Employment Team.   She is our 10,000th volunteer!

Nikki felt she would like to return to work, but wanted a complete change of career and decided that admin was a good option.

Because Nikki had no experience in admin. the Employment Team, who work closely with VCM, felt that the Supported Youth Volunteering Programme would be an ideal way of helping Nikki gain the skills and experience she needed.

The SYVP were pleased to be able to work with Merton Mencap to create an admin post that would benefit Nickki, whilst she is also receiving continued support from VCM.
