HELP SERVICE DRIVERS
Drivers need: To have held a full driving licence for at least 2
years
To be over 21 and fit to drive
To have fully comprehensive insurance
To have a roadworthy car, with valid MOT certificate if necessary,
valid tax disc and useable front and rear seat belts.
Drivers will need to let their insurance company know, in writing,
that they will be doing some driving as a volunteer. Failure to do
this can invalidate their policy and make them personally liable
for any resulting damage or injuries.
Drivers will be informed of the current mileage rate when they
need to claim Travel Expenses
There may be other things that you would like to know about. These
may be answered in our section on “frequently asked questions”.
