Merton's Largest Ever Volunteer Recruitment Event

700 Hopeful London Ambassadors Interviewed 

The biggest ever volunteer recruitment event in Merton for over 700 individuals who want to become London Ambassadors - guides for visitors during the Olympics - has seen unbridled enthusiam.

A group of 30 volunteer recruiters and 10 VCM staff steared applicants through the recruitment process of simulated scenarios, role plays and one to one interviews.    Feedback from everyone was overwhelmingly positive.   One volunteer recruiter said "the pride in London was almost tangible".

London Ambassadors will be posted around the transport hubs and key tourist attractions across London, helping visitors to find and enjoy the best that London has to offer.

Volunteer Centre Merton is one of the London recruitment hubs appointed to run the selection process.
